Comverse Sees The Big Picture

Comverse has now expanded their converged communications portfolio to include an IPTV solution for service providers. NetCentrex, which was acquired by Comverse earlier this year, developed the solution.

According to the Comverse website and press release, Comverse IPTV will be an end-to-end solution encompassing Live TV, Video on Demand, Digital Rights Management, STB Middleware and Value-Added services integration.

Skype Goes Both Ways...

...not that there's anything wrong with that. In all seriousness, Skype has introduced a handset that wirelessly connects a user to their Skype account or a tranditional landline. Convergence, it's a beautiful thing.
